Web Exam Errors
Error: I type in the URL of the web test, but receive
an HTTP 403 (Forbidden) error.
Response: Make sure you end your web test's URL
with "webtest.asp"
Error: I type in the URL of the web test, but receive
an HTTP 404 (File Not Found) error.
Response: You are trying to access a file that
does not exist. Make sure you end your web test's URL with "webtest.asp" You may
be missing the Internet Guest Account and/or have incorrect permissions set. You
are highly encouraged to refer to Appendix H: Online Web Setup on setting up file
sharing and permissions on your web testing server.
Error: I type in the URL of the web test, but receive
an Invalid Access page that says:
"This page has been accessed incorrectly."
Response: Make sure you have "http:" entered before
the URL.
Error: I type in the URL of the web test, but receive
an Invalid Access error.
Response: You may be trying to directly access
an intermediate .ASP file in the logon process. Make sure you access the web test
via "webtest.asp" only; this file will point to other .ASP files needed in the logon
process.
Error: I type in the URL of the web test, ending
with "webtest.asp", but receive a catastrophic error.
Response: Check the security settings for the LXRWeb
folder installed in your \\Inetpub\wwwroot folder on your server. You may be missing
the Internet Guest Account and/or have incorrect permissions set. You are highly
encouraged to refer to Appendix H: Online Web Setup on setting up file sharing and
permissions on your web testing server.
Error: I exit out of a web test and attempt to
open another one and get the message: This page has been accessed incorrectly.
Response: Exiting out of a web test using the X
button rather than the appropriate navigation buttons, such as Cancel, etc. can
cause this. Simply re-access the web test and it should access just fine the 2nd
time.
